Rare 1938 Eveready Batteries (永备) Shanghai Advertisement poster desktop publishing mockup with English proofing comments from May 19th 1938.

To be printed by Shanghai National Tobacco Industry Printing Factory (国营上海烟草工业印刷厂) for National Carbon Company Dry Cells. The printer was part of British-American Tobacco (BAT) China's network of businesses and also served external clients besides their own cigarette brands, as this exhibit shows. In the 1930s Eveready was represented in China by the New York ad agency National Export Advertising Services Inc which in turn was in a partnership on the ground with C.P. Ling's China Commercial Advertising Agency.
